The Back Forty Podcasts

There is an uprising across the country. A movement by the people to take back control of the direction of America. This movement is populated by a full spectrum of voters, left, right and everything in between.

To capitalize on this momentum and to serve rural America The Back Forty is producing two podcasts designed to deliver strategic media, backed by facts and information, that supports programs and policies to protect and strengthen rural America. And we need your help to do it.

Our goal is to raise $50,000 to launch our first podcast. The Back Forty podcast, hosted by farmer and political consultant, Will Westmoreland, is about the engine that drives our country;

rural America. More than that, it’s about the people, places, and stories that make up the heartland of our country. It’s about the roads that connect us, the land that inspires us, and the farms and ranches that grow our food, feed our families, and breed the best of what it means  to be an American. It’s about the past and how we shaped the country that we are today. It’s about the choices for the future and who we want to be tomorrow. It’s not political. It’s not divisive. It is decisively American.

Host Will Westmoreland and his guests share stories we all know and the ones we’ve never heard of. From elected officials, leading business persons, local and national celebrities, artists, authors, educators, journalists, healthcare representatives to average Americans, this is an informative, opinionated, and eye-opening podcast that covers everything from current events to the history that got us where we are today. With the anticipatory style of Paul Harvey, and the Americana patina of Garrison Keillor, Will takes us on a journey by shining a calm light on charged subjects and by hosting guests that represent the whole of our country as they relate to the heartland of America.

Fundraising Goals

Every dollar you donate goes toward our work to rebuild rural America and steer our country back toward one by the people and for the people. The degradation of our democracy, while a clear goal for some, is not a foregone conclusion. Rural America gets its news and information through AM Radio, social media, and streaming services. Our intention is to push back by shedding a calm light on charged subjects.

Will Westmoreland, a farmer, single dad, political consultant and veteran speaker, will deliver engaging content through interviews with opinionated guests, pointed conversation, facts, statistics and stories that will inspire the whole of America to recognize the importance of protecting our heartland and rebuilding our nation, together.
